WATER MISSION AND HEALTHY HANDS INITIATIVE PARTNER FOR…
In response to the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene in Western Carolina, Healthy Hands Initiative is partnering with the Water Mission Organization to continue our commitment to providing clean water solutions to those in need. We aim to raise $50,000 for emergency safe-water treatments to provide access to safe drinking water.
Hurricane Helene was a large-scale, Category 4 storm that struck the Southeastern United States in late September. The storm caused immense flooding across Western Carolina, including nearby locations, such as Asheville and Boone. Consequently, hundreds of lives and nearly $35 billion dollars in damages has been accumulated — not only damaging infrastructure and homes, but contaminating clean drinking water, making it essential for organizations, like Healthy Hands Initiative and Water Mission, to aid in response.
Donate. Every dollar is crucial in our mission to provide clean water to individuals and families affected by Hurricane Helene. In donating, your contributions will be utilized directly for the installation of emergency safe-water treatments in hard-hit areas across Western Carolina.
As of October 18, there are 13 safe water treatments operational.
Our target is to reach 20 functional systems, within 9 locations in North Carolina.
